Exhibition 2019-2020
8TH MARCH 2020 – CELEBRATION OF WOMEN DAY AND HOLI
BFDW celebrated Women Day and BFDW invited Masako Y., Mrs Hiroko Kikukawa and Mrs Keiko Chijiwa from Japan. They presented a lecture about their visit to deaf schools, their experience in meeting financially poor hearing impaired families and their difficult upbringing. Ms. Keiko showed presentation on her thought sand beliefs. A short photography session was done by her by recording the moments and the event.
An appreciatIon award was given to Ms Masako Y., Marukh Bottlewala for life time achievement award, Hema Vithlani for Best Supporting Award and Alka Akolkar for woman of the year.
Mr. Subhash Gaikwad, Advocate, Criminal Family & Civil, Ms. Masako Y, Gen. Secretary, UPTAIN from JAPAN, Mr Mahesh Pawar, President of VPRES, Ms. Hiroko Kiku kawa, Professional Tailor and Masters in stitching and Ms. Keiko Chijiwa, Videographer, UPTAIN gave a small speech on his thinking and beliefs.
BFDW members were excited to play games and received the gifts by winning the competitions.
Traditional festival Holi was celebrated by applying the colours and the customs, traditions were explained to our guests from Japan.
BFDW participated in many exhibitions for selling products made by deaf employees like scented and non-scented candles purses, bags,Home made products etc.
New Vice President (deaf) Sujatha Chitale was elected and she joined the team in November 2020.
Ms. Hiroko Kikukawa donated hand-made thread box for BFDW Tailoring / Stitching. It was made by Japan Deaf Gentleman. It is amazing and easy to pick up variety of colorful thread to save time and energy to deaf employees. Hiroko taught many new products to BFDW tailoring and stitching BFDW deaf women.

2ND February 2020 –
BFDW 37th year anniversary and Haldi Kumkum BFDW celebrated 37th year anniversary and Haldi Kumkum for our members. Haldi Kumkum is a traditional festivalin which married women apply haldi and kumkum to each other as a symbol and praying for their husbands to have a long life. BFDW offered tilladoos, flowers and gift to bfdw members We called NC Participants who won for drama, vase painting, making beads and clay. Our MUMBAI NC secured first position in Drama, clay and making beads. BFDW distributed certificates and winning amount to NC MUMBAI PARTICIPANTS. Their hard work and talent was appreciated. |

5TH NATIONAL CULTURAL COMPETITON held at Bhubhaneshwar where many competitions were organized for its state members. Drawing and Quiz Competition BFDW organized Drawing and quiz Competition at SIES, Mumbai. BFDW invited deaf schools and their students to participate in these competitions. The deaf school teachers accompanied the participants and their parents too. The children participated in the QUIZ competition and also drawing competitions according to different age groups. They were keen in answering the questions based on GENERAL KNOWLEDGE and the deaf participated enjoyed drawing using their talents through water colours or colouring pencils/crayons, A current affair theme was given in advance for the students to prepare for the same. Mrs. Ajanta Iyer, Mr Siddharth Chavan and Mr Ashish Sehra were juries. The juries were impressed with the deaf participants showcasing their talents and the juries were amazed to see drawings with amazing creativity. They wished them good luck in future Certificates and gifts where given to the winners decided by our juries followed by the National anthem in sign language. Continous encouragement was passed on to participants to participate on such big platforms to gain confidence. |

29th NOVEMBER 2019 – PRANAY MILAN SAMMELAN
BFDW was the host of PMS AT Mumbai on 29th November 2019. All the states attended PMS aiming for right partner. The participants attended with their parents and introduced them selves to the audience by presenting their bio data and their family background. The interpreters and deaf helped participants and families to understand the information.
BFDW also arranged our exhibition of the handmade products. Kaushika and Hema were in charge of exhibition. The chief guests appreciated the products and hard work put in by deaf employees and they purchased some items too.
BFDW invited 3 married couples who met their respective partners from the previous year PMS ceremony at Mumbai. We appreciated the fact that they are now happily married and they received gifts from the esteemed Chief Guests and they blessed married couples. The aim of inviting the married couples through our PMS was to show our audience and the participants, their families about successful meetings with the help of this show put up by our organisation.
Mrs. Shyamala Gopinath, Chairperson, HDFC Bank, Mrs. Madhoo (ROJA) ARTIST, Mrs Naintra Jain, INOX and Mr Prabodh Thakkar, Global Insurance were pleased to see our BFDW that hosted PMS to help our deaf participants for seeking the right partner through this matrimonial platform.
Mrs Preeti Parekh Madam our Vice President of BFDW gave a short speech. Mrs. Rajyalakshmi Rao, Chairperson, AIFDW and President, BFDW appreciated our famous actress Madhu for being all time best artist and the audience applauded for all our esteemed guests who sacrificed their precious time for our program.

ISH TEAM was also the part of this huge show where they recorded the event and shared the information about their own successful initiative.

Ms. NidhiSanghviChauhan / ZainabNajmi presented a good learning session and workshop on depression , worries, mental illness, loneliness and explained BFDW members how to overcome from our existing sorrows, unhappiness by showing some tricks ,games and puzzles to overcomethe worries and tensions. Our members showed the enthusiasm through HAPPY SOUL SESSION. |

21ST July 2019 – CYBER CRIME
Ms. Anjali Rane presented a lecture on cybercrime. Information on different mobile applications and their functioning was imparted. (Google pay, pay tm and email systems.) Hacking, phishing and other areas of cybercrime were also taken into consideration. BFDW members were keen in listening and learning the procedure how to block the unknown contacts and to be alert all the times regarding the bank information. (ATM cards) |
